Notes
- Eulalie Rocca was born at Peterborough where her parents ran a restaurant in Narrow Street called "Swiss Cafe." Her father Louis Rocca went to school in Poschiavo with Erminio Marchesi and they came to Broadstairs together as young teenagers to work for Federico Marchesi, eventually establishing their own businesses. Her Uncle Johnny (Zio Giovanni) Rocca called her "La bella Pipina," when she was very young, and thereafter, she was known as "Pip."
Adolfo Marchesi 1872 - 1933, a son of Federico, was Eulalie's godfather. She attended Coloma Convent in Croydon, England, and when she was 16, she and her sister Ena went to Istituto Sant' Anna in Lugano, where they both became fluent in Italian. Pip and Terry were married at Corpus Christi Church, Tonbridge by Father Stephen Wray. When Terry was working for Thomas Cook, they lived in Rome in an apartment opposite Hotel Flora in Via Veneto, before returning to England and establishing their home at Orpington, Kent, where they had a large and happy family. They retired to Hailsham, Sussex in 1968. Pip's memorial stone Iies beside her husband's in the beautful little cemetery at the Church of St Thomas à Becket, Framfield, Sussex.
